Dan joined HLM as an Associate to lead our ongoing integration and implementation of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and digital delivery across all studios and sectors. He is an architect who arrived at HLM directly from an MMC main contractor role, which followed 20 years in architectural and multidisciplinary consultancy in the UK and Ireland.

With extensive experience across multiple sectors, Dan’s career has seen him based both in the office and on-site to successfully design and deliver schemes of various sizes, complexities and costs. Working collaboratively to lead teams from project inception to post-completion, he has developed a deep understanding of traditional and offsite construction and how technology can complement creativity and research to help balance environmental, economic and social considerations within architectural projects.

As well as being an RIBA Chartered Member and Registered Member of RIAI, Dan is a Fellow of the RSA, Chair and Trustee of the Sheffield Design Awards, Chair of RIBA Yorkshire Council and past President of Sheffield Society of Architects.

Dan’s weekends are often spent ‘messing about’ in boats in the workshop/on the water, on tractors on the farm, and being sous chef at home.
