We are pleased to announce that Catherine Ward from our Sheffield studio has recently gained her qualification in Passivhaus design, bringing HLM’s growing team of Passivhaus designers to seven.

Building this team will be instrumental in delivering our bold and ambitious aim of achieving RIBA’s Sustainable Outcomes 2030 targets on all of our projects by 2025 through a thoughtfully designed fabric first approach based on solid building physics and a proven methodology.

With a wealth of experience across educational projects at all levels, Catherine also manages the development of our special education portfolio and profile nationally, currently working on a Passivhaus SEN school in Scunthorpe. This new certification places her as a specialist in developing Passivhaus within the educational environment, and enabling the design of more efficient and beneficial learning environments.
