HLM Architects have been named the winner of the ‘Architect’ award at the 2020 Cardiff Property Awards. Held virtually, the awards celebrate the region’s property sector, and for the first time formed part of the new Cardiff Property Symposium.

In this category, the judges were looking for a practice whose design solutions have transformed its surroundings, is fit for purpose and for the future, and is a strong representative for Cardiff’s creative sector.

Announcing HLM as the winner, they said: “HLM has positively impacted the community with its talented team of 170, building an impressive portfolio of schools, hospitals and hotels. Leading, progressive Architects!”

Studio Director, Gareth Woodfin said: “We couldn’t be prouder to have won this prestigious award. This achievement is recognition of how hard our teams have worked over the years to design places with people at the heart and aimed at enhancing the sense of community.”

The Cardiff team are this year celebrating their 15th anniversary of being located in the Welsh capital, working across the Education, Health, Defence, Commercial, Residential and Hospitality sectors.
