Southwark Council and framework procurement specialist LHC have announced the teams selected for a ground-breaking new £10.5 million framework.
The Architect Design Services (ADS) framework will be available to all public sector authorities in London that require architect design services. The new framework aims to promote innovation through design and is set to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of the procurement and delivery of architectural projects across London.
Chosen as a practice that will ‘deliver innovative construction services to the public sector’, HLM has been selected for three lots; education (between £5 million and £20 million); social care and community. Other lots include masterplanning and feasibility; housing; commercial and industrial; conservation and heritage; landscape design; and new designers.
Claire Wakelin, London Studio Director, HLM, said, “To be selected on this new framework for our quality architectural design credentials is excellent news. At HLM we understand that design can bring vibrancy to any education, social care or community setting. We’re looking forward to applying our signature thinking to deliver innovative solutions and create safe, inspiring and accessible environments that will provide equality of opportunity for all within the London Borough of Southwark over the next four years.”
A sustainable approach will also be applied across the projects HLM will deliver as part of the framework. HLM follow the principles of BREEAM and all projects will be delivered under ISO14001 Environmental Management processes as part of its dedication to sustainability and the Borough’s carbon neutral objective.
