We are delighted to announce that Ross Barrett and Jim Lindsay from our Glasgow Studio have gained their Certified Passivhaus Designer qualification bringing HLM’s number of Passivhaus Designers to four.

Building this team will be instrumental in delivering our bold and ambitious aim of achieving RIBA’s Sustainable Outcomes 2030 targets on all of our projects by 2025 through a thoughtfully designed fabric first approach based on solid building physics and a proven methodology.

Ross and Jim have already delivered a number of passivhaus dwellings including the award winning Tigh-na-Croit and are currently working on a number of new exciting passivhaus projects in the Education Sector. We’ve also recently been appointed to the Passivhaus Architect Lot in the City of Edinburgh Council framework.
