We’re delighted to share that the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) has been shortlisted in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) regional awards for Scotland.
Submitted by Quantity Surveyors on the project, MGAC, NMIS is one of only seven ‘Public Sector’ projects located in Scotland to have made the shortlist.
Separated into 12 regions, the RICS titles are awarded to projects across seven categories from newbuilds, in various sectors, to retrofit.
Since opening, NMIS has received multiple industry and regional awards, including: Offsite, Structural Timber, Glasgow Institute of Architects and the Scottish Property Awards.
This wide-ranging recognition is testament to the entire client and design team who, together, delivered impressive outcomes in a building which will support and inspire manufacturing excellence now and into the future. NMIS sits at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS), Scotland’s new home of manufacturing innovation, and provides a collaborative hub for industry, academia and public sector.
The RICS awards celebrate land, real estate, construction and infrastructure projects across the UK. Winners of the regional awards which best demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, achievement, thought leadership and sustainability will then go on to be considered for the national categories.

Congratulations and good luck to all the finalists in both the regional and national awards.
