Christopher joined HLM in 2019 as a newly qualified architect having gained experience delivering several educational projects. He has since led new primary and SEN school developments, working closely with framework partners specialising in MMC.
He is well skilled at creating inspiring design that is appropriate to the context, having helped redevelop a Grade I listed fire house into a new academy. Christopher is adept at working closely with school leadership teams to ensure that the new learning environments HLM design help to deliver a high quality education to the students.
Christopher was the first Chair of the newly formed HLM Voice Hub, an employee council that was set up after the business transitioned to an EOT in 2020. During his time as Chair, he helped to bring ideas together from all parts of the practice which led to direct change. He continued to serve for a further year representing his colleagues whilst also carrying out his role as a Part I and Part III mentor, helping to support and bring new talent through the architectural education system.

Christopher likes to experiment in the Kitchen. With no formal training to speak of, he’ll happily attempt to make complex recipes after work and especially on the weekend. Expect strong and loud flavours, in what usually ends up being a culinary disaster!
