Lucy has been a member of the HLM team since the 1990’s, when she started as a year-out student. She is now a lead in Education, a sector she is passionate about.
Her award-winning designs explore how architecture can enhance the student experience and support changing educational pedagogies. The projects she has worked on range from strategic masterplanning, brief development and stakeholder engagement through to design development and innovative, active learning spaces.
Alongside working at HLM, Lucy has been a tutor in Architecture for over 20 years, and is currently an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University.

Lucy has been pescatarian since the age of 16, when a school teacher told her you couldn’t survive on that diet and she wanted to prove him wrong!
