Last night, in a virtual awards ceremony, Karen Mosley was awarded two Institute of Directors awards for the Yorkshire and North East Region.
Karen secured the Director of the Year for the ‘Small to Medium Business’, and ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’, categories. The achievement of these awards recognizes the passion that Karen has for developing people and the business, and her hard work and dedication to making HLM a great place to work while giving back to the community.
The awards this year included seven categories, and recognized directors of businesses across the region that showcase exemplary leadership.
“In any role, particularly on a Board, it’s the trust, the respect, the support you have across a team that gets you up every day and drives you to want to do more. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with fantastic colleagues who inspire me every day. It’s brilliant to see the awards showcasing the depth and diversity of career pathways across our region”
Karen is instrumental in providing an empowering, inclusive workplace which celebrates individuals and provides opportunities to everyone, encouraging all staff to realise their ambitions, both personally and professionally. She recently set up the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) group to promote sharing across the business, and has led HLM’s involvement in the Apprenticeship Trailblazer scheme. This drive to develop new routes into the architectural profession exemplifies Karen’s commitment to opening up opportunities to everyone.
A well deserving winner and an inspiring leader. Well done, Karen!
