Congratulations to Laura Graham, Interior Architect based in the HLM Glasgow studio, for being nominated into the Mix Interiors 30 under 30 Class of 2023. This marks the fourth year running that HLM Architects have had a colleague listed in this list of leading young interior designers.
Since joining HLM Architects in 2021, Laura has worked mostly within the education sector. her focus is on creating spaces that are sensitive and tailored specifically for the culture, conditions and needs of different user groups. She brings to the team a specific interest in designing interior spaces that compliment and feel an integrated part of the exterior envelope. Her design ideas enhance their surroundings, and have a positive impact on the lives of the people that use it.
Head of Interior Architecture, Andy Illingworth, commented:
“Laura excels at end-user engagement and development of interior concepts that are creative and people centred. She is a passionate advocate for designing for wellbeing and has enthusiasm and drive to bring wellbeing principals to the forefront of each project agenda.”
The annual Mix 30 under 30 list selects ‘the brightest young stars in commercial interior design and architecture’ and offers nominees the opportunity to meet other designers early on in their career and celebrate their achievements.

“I was so excited to hear I have been nominated and very honoured to have been selected alongside such a talented group. It’s great to be noticed for the hard work and passion I put into my work and there is no better feeling than that getting recognised within the industry that I love!

Projects that Laura has worked on so far at HLM include London Institute of Healthcare Engineering, Two Bridges Academy, Kadampa Meditation Centre, and multiple schools including Special Educational Needs facilities.
