On Friday, the Glasgow team picked up not one, but two awards for the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) at the 2024 BCO Scotland Awards!
Design Director and Project Lead, Ross Barrett commented:
To win two BCO Scottish Awards is wonderful recognition for our client and the team! The quality of all entries to this year’s BCO awards was fantastic, and for the judges to describe the NMIS project as ‘revolutionary’ completely reinforces the team’s ambitions to create an innovative, healthy, high-quality workplace with sustainability at its core.
NMIS was awarded ‘Corporate Workplace of the Year’ and the ‘ESG Award’.
The Environment, Social & Governance Award recognises a project that will have a game changing influence on the environment, social value, governance or sustainable outcomes in the commercial building sector.
Regional winners go on to compete for a National Award in their category and the chance for an additional trophy in the Best of the Best category.

These awards follow numerous accolades for NMIS in 2023 and 2024, including winning at the Building Awards, Structural Timber Awards, Herald Scotland Property Awards, Offsite Awards, and most recently, the Scottish Design Awards. It is also shortlisted for an MMC Awards, two Construction News Awards and a RICS Award.
The recognition of NMIS in these awards acknowledges the project’s diverse nature and occupiers, as well as the team’s creation of healthy, sustainable working environments.
