The Radisson Blu, Sheffield development as part of the Heart of the City project in Sheffield City Centre has reached new heights.

“This project really means a lot to us in the Sheffield studio – it’s great to see the progress of this flagship scheme”

The construction of the steel frame has reached its pinnacle – it was celebrated with a topping out ceremony. Our design team alongside the hotelier, contractor and developers took part in the momentous event.

The new flagship hotel will consist of 154 luxury rooms with a contemporary feel, bespoke design features will compliment Sheffield’s heritage and the retained Victorian façade along Pinstone Street. Working closely with heritage specialists, the Council and consultants, HLM’s concept design responds to and enhances the architectural history of the site.

Guests will be able to enjoy the surrounding architectural grandeur while enjoying new, luxurious contemporary facilities.

Serving to enhance Sheffield’s social scene, an upmarket rooftop bar and terrace is also planned for the hotel, affording striking views over the Peace Gardens.

Ben Carrack, Architect, said:

“It was great being part of the topping out. This project really means a lot to us in the Sheffield studio – it’s great to see the progress of this flagship scheme – and enjoy the views from the rooftop!”
