Ben joined HLM’s Sheffield studio in 2003 as an architectural technologist and has since built a wealth of experience across both new build and refurbishment projects. His portfolio spans a diverse range of sectors, including education, hospitality, workplace, and homes.
In his current role, Ben combines project leadership with studio management, overseeing the delivery of multiple live projects while working closely with the studio director on the day-to-day running of the Sheffield studio. His collaborative approach and technical expertise ensure design quality and project efficiency across all stages.
Ben has always been people-focused, with a genuine interest in supporting the development and progression of colleagues. He often takes on the role of mentor, both formally and informally, helping others to grow in confidence, capability and experience. Alongside this, he is mindful of the wider impact that architecture can have on society and feels fortunate to have contributed to several significant projects across the Sheffield region.
