We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been shortlisted in two categories in the AJ100 Awards 2023, ‘Employer of the Year’ and ‘Innovation of the Year’.

The AJ100 Survey ranks the top 100 Architectural practices in the UK, which takes into account the size, turnover and number of employees among other factors.

We’re honoured to be among the finalists again this year for Employer of the Year, having won the title in both 2020 and 2021. This year marks the fourth consecutive year of being shortlisted for Employer of the Year, an award which celebrates practices who have shown investment in, and commitment to, the wellbeing and development of staff. In this year’s criteria, particular emphasis was on practice efforts to promote equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the practice.

Karen Mosley, Managing Director, commented:

“It’s an absolute honor to be shortlisted again this year. We have such a passionate team who individually and collectively are continuously looking for ways to be creative, innovative and inclusive so everyone can thrive. Really delighted to receive this recognition.”

The ‘Innovation of the Year’ category focuses on ‘an innovation that has transformed an aspect of your work’. Our work on ‘Edigit2life’, a research and development project undertaken with the University of Glasgow, IES and ScienceScope, took a holistic approach to achieving net zero carbon across the University’s estate. The production of a campus digital twin allowed the team to assess assets at both campus and individual building level, and provided the University with the tools to optimize building performance today, as they develop their detailed net zero roadmap.

Simon Bell, Director and Sustainability Sponsor, said:

“We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Innovation of the Year Award, recognition of the collaborative approach to research and development embedded in our practice working with clients and partners to deliver valuable solutions for huge challenges like maximising energy efficiency and reducing carbon.”

Winners of all categories will be announced at the AJ100 Gala Dinner on the 21st of June. Good luck, everyone!
