Delighted to say that we were highly commended in the property category at this years Cardiff Life Awards. Gareth Woodfin, Helen Grant, Belen Ortiz and James Richards put on their best and attended the Cardiff Life Awards at the Cardiff City Stadium. A great event with Cardiff’s best of the best businesses coming together to celebrate.
Now in their 10th year the prestigious awards recognize excellence in categories such as food & drink, retail, arts, education, health, property, charity, and more.
With over 450 talented people from many local businesses in the same room the atmosphere was definitely one of celebration. It was a great opportunity to meet some incredibly unique people who all work in the Capital. Now in their 10th year the prestigious awards recognize excellence in categories such as food & drink, retail, arts, education, health, property, charity, and more.
Last year HLM Architects celebrated its 60th anniversary as a business and 18 years in Cardiff. Marking this locally with our annual summer party in the Morgan Arcade and celebrating nationally as a company at HLMFest, each studio from across the country in one place at the same time, we had a ball!
Gareth Woodfin said “To be highly commended and see our name up on the stage in a room full of so many talented people was definitely a high point. Being highly commended sets us apart from competitors and shows that our thoughtful design is making an impact. True recognition that our projects, initiatives, and good work is being fully represented not only nationally but locally. We continue to work on our most innovative, sustainable and exciting projects we’ve ever worked on. A fantastic way to start the year and celebrate our talented team and the amazing projects that we work on. Well done to all the worthy winners”
Last year our Cardiff Studio grew to become one of the largest in HLM something that we are extremely proud of. We’ve continued to invest in our people and created a new structure for role profiles, allowing our teams a greater understanding of how to achieve career goals. We continue to develop our social value and net zero initiatives, upskilling and refining our ways of working to suit everyone’s individual needs to achieve a work-life balance. Our monthly ‘connect days’ have developed and create opportunities for colleagues to meet up and partake in activities. These days give us all the chance to socialise and team build, they are also an opportunity to undertake social value activities in the community.
