We are pleased to share that this year, HLM have been ranked at number 24 of the top 100 Architectural Practices in the AJ100.

Moving up four places from number 28 last year, this places HLM Architects in the top 25 practices across the UK – an achievement we’re very proud of. We also reached the shortlist for Employer of the Year for the fourth year running, which we won in 2020 and 2021.

Philip Watson, Head of Design, commented:

“We’re delighted to see our steady climb in the AJ100 rankings. This reflects the incremental growth the practice is achieving across all our sectors and regions, as our reputation for thoughtful and sustainable design continues to flourish. Our investment in research and development is also reflected in this year’s shortlisting for Innovation of the Year, and last year’s win for Sustainability Initiative of the Year.”

The AJ100 is the definitive list of the top 100 Architectural Practices in the UK. Run by the Architect’s Journal, the annual survey analyses the market and discovers new trends across the AJ100. This year’s survey shows a record number of architects in the profession and a cautious optimism for the future.
