We are delighted to be the winners in two major categories this year:

  • Architectural Practice of the Year
  • Every Person Counts, the new ‘people strategy’ award.

These two accolades recognise our efforts to drive innovation within the industry, across both our projects and our workplace

The competition was understandably fierce, with some great talent spotlighted throughout the evening.

The Building Awards celebrate the best in UK construction, and are a high-profile event in the industry.

This year, there was a total of twenty award categories across all areas of industry, recognising excellence from small projects to major contractors.

Architectural Practice of the Year

We are thrilled to have once again received the title Architectural Practice of the Year after a win in 2020 and a shortlisting in 2021. This recognition acknowledges our team’s efforts to push the boundaries of design, creating projects that improve the lives of the people they serve.

Richard O’Neil, Chair of HLM, said:

“We are delighted to receive the Architectural Practice of the Year Award and it was a privilege to accept the award on behalf of our extremely talented and committed staff.

Working extensively with our brilliant clients and collaborators, our team truly deserve this prestigious accolade”

Every Person Counts – the ‘people strategy’ award

This award focused on several areas which, when combined, result in our rich culture. These were:

  • Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
  • Culture and Values
  • Benefits, Rewards and Health and Wellbeing
  • Innovative Working
  • Training and Development
  • Outreach and Social Mobility

Karen Mosley, Managing Director and Head of Human Resources, said:

“Picking up the Every Person Counts: The People Strategy Award on behalf of all of our employee owners was a huge honour. This award is close to my heart and recognises everything everyone does every day to connect, inspire, support and release the passion that I believe makes us unique.

The passion flows through our projects and into our communities that positively impacts people’s lives. Huge congratulations goes out to all my colleagues for creating an environment where everyone can achieve their best.”
