Richard has been with HLM for over 26 years, becoming a board director in 2004 and serving as chair from 2017 to April 2024. Through the practice Richard offers design leadership and championing a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. Richard brings a wealth of experience across a variety of sectors.
As an architect, Richard works with clients across several sectors including regeneration, mixed use, strategic masterplanning, local and central government projects. He also has a unique skill and extensive knowledge of working with clients to optimise the performance of their real estate and property assets, informing smart investment planning with long-term socio-economic benefits.
Richard is passionate about fostering inclusive places that are community-led and believes in architecture’s power to improve wellbeing and environmental sustainability. He values thoughtful design and strategic planning that delivers long-term social, economic and environmental benefits.
