Richard has spent over 26 years with HLM Architects, becoming a Board Director in 2004, being appointed as Chair from 2017 to April 2024 and remains as a key member of the HLM Board. Richard brings design leadership and fosters an inclusive and collaborative workplace environment. As well as promoting effective implementation of Practice Strategy and Management, he operates as an Architect across various sector typologies.

As an Architect, Richard works with clients across several sectors including Regeneration, Mixed Use, Strategic Masterplanning, Local and Central Government projects. He also has a unique skill and extensive knowledge of working with clients to optimise the performance of their real estate and assets, informing smart investment planning, improving wellbeing and environmental sustainability.

Did you know?

Richard was a dual-international, representing Wales in both tennis and Shotokan karate. With his two active, youthful lads he continues with both sports – but they are beginning to move quicker and more effectively than he can, gaining the upper hand, and that’s slightly bothering him!
