HLM Architects have risen five places in the Building Magazine Top 150 Consultants index for 2023, to number 53.

The prestigious league table is based on data provided by direct surveys of firms in the UK.

Based on questions around fee income, number of staff and staff turnover, the annual survey generates a list of the 150 largest UK Consultants. Questions also include views on changing market conditions, skills and the future environment facing the sector.

In addition to this improvement in the overall Consultants list, we’re pleased to share that we have maintained position 18 in the Top 50 Architects list for 2023.

Richard O’Neil, Chair of HLM Architects, commented:

“To see HLM moving up the listing of Building Magazine’s top 150 list again is testament to every individual’s efforts to consistently deliver high-quality projects. Myself and the rest of the Board are pleased to see our reputation continue to grow, as the industry transitions in the wake of new technology and methods.”

The annual survey is reflective of current affairs which may affect the construction industry. This year, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was included, recognising the growing importance of this technology, and addressing how firms expect its uptake to impact their operations.
