Many congratulations to Ellie Brooks who has recently passed her RIBA Part III exemption and can now register with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) as a qualified architect.

“Since I first joined HLM it was clear that the input of all colleagues was important.”

A graduate of the Welsh School of Architecture, Ellie completed all of her Architectural studies in the City.

Having joined the Cardiff team in 2022 she has worked mainly within the Defence sector on a range of projects such as, Stafford SLA (Single Living Accommodation) and project Imjin SLA in Gloucester.

Ellie said “I love working in the Cardiff studio the environment is supportive and relaxed.  Since I first joined HLM it was clear that the input of all colleagues was important, this creates a great place to learn and collaborate.  I’m looking forward to developing more Defence projects, supporting improvements to the lived experience within the estate.  I am also looking forward to learning from the talented design team at HLM from the regular internal design forums

Scott Frederick, Defence sector team lead said “Ellie helps bolster the busy Defence team in the Cardiff studio, her attention to detail and willingness to learn has made her an invaluable team member. She is always keen to get involved and readily available to apply herself to any task or situation; case and point, Ellie successfully managed and delivered two RAF SLA Projects whilst a Part II Architectural Assistant.  We are delighted that Ellie has now passed her professional exams and can proudly and confidently introduce herself as an Architect in our many Defence meetings!”

Da Iawn Ellie, we cant wait to see where your architectural journey takes you!
