Sheffield’s Story Told Through Interior Design: Radisson Blu Hotel
We understand that interior spaces do more than serve a function—they shape experiences, influence wellbeing, and have a profound impact on how people feel, interact, and perform. Our approach blends thoughtful creativity with purposeful functionality, tailoring each design to reflect the building’s character, the user’s needs, and the broader context of place.
This philosophy is clearly embodied in the recently completed Radisson Blu Hotel in Sheffield. As a landmark project in the Heart of the City regeneration, the hotel celebrates Sheffield’s rich heritage while supporting its evolving identity as a dynamic urban destination. The interiors were designed with a narrative that draws deeply from the local landscape and culture—juxtaposing the soft, muted tones of the surrounding moorlands with the strength and precision of the city’s steelmaking history. Bold rug patterns reflect the contours of the nearby Peak District, while custom ceilings emulate the geometry of local reservoirs. A sophisticated material palette of timber, stone, mirror and steel captures both the industrial legacy and modern diversity of Sheffield. Every design decision was made to delight the guest while strengthening the hotel’s sense of place.
Biophilic Design in Education: University of Leeds Health Sciences Library
In contrast, our interior refurbishment of the Health Sciences Library at the University of Leeds demonstrates our commitment to wellbeing and sustainability in learning environments. Completed in May 2025, this project transforms the existing library space into a calming and uplifting biophilic haven. At the heart of the design is the connection to nature—achieved through newly introduced skylights, earthy tones, timber finishes, and abundant planting. The interior layout is zoned to support different learning styles, from quiet study to collaborative group work, fostering an inclusive and student-led environment. Every material and finish has been selected not only for its aesthetic quality but also for its sustainability credentials—contributing to a healthier, more responsible space.
What unites these two very different projects is our consistent, thoughtful design approach, one that places people at the centre, respects the environment, and always seeks to elevate the user experience. Whether we’re designing for the luxury hospitality sector or reimagining academic spaces, our interiors respond uniquely to their context, creating environments that leave a lasting impression.
We believe interior design is where emotion meets environment. It’s where atmosphere is created, comfort is delivered, and identity is expressed. Our team brings creativity, rigour and empathy to every brief, delivering spaces that resonate deeply with those who use them.
Being shortlisted for Interior Architect of the Year recognises the positive impact of our work across public and private sectors. It’s a celebration of the power of interiors to tell stories, promote wellbeing, and transform everyday experience. We are proud to be shaping the future, one thoughtfully designed interior at a time.
