Our R&D team is challenging traditional ideas of residential design and rethinking how we can develop our towns and cities. We’re exploring innovative housing models and construction techniques, all to create quality neighbourhoods where communities can thrive long term, while reducing environmental impacts.

Our residential expertise spans a wide range of typologies; from rural traditional family homes to urban build-to-rent developments; from student accommodation to later living. Fundamental to all our work is the belief that each residential project should be a commercially viable response to the client’s brief; carefully crafted in response to context, community, and with its own distinct identity.

Environmental sustainability is embedded into every HLM project, combining ambitious sustainable design with the practicalities of achieving statutory compliance and accreditation. We generate long term environmental and commercial value for our residential clients, and improve the quality of life for residents.

We’ve adopted the RIBA 2030 Sustainable Outcomes targets to deliver higher performing buildings and more sustainable developments, inline with the UK government’s target to achieve net zero carbon buildings by 2050.

We work to a number of methodologies and standards, including modern methods of construction (MMC), BREEAM Passivhaus and the Future Homes Standard.

Through our collaborative, inclusive process we engage with local residents, stakeholders, and experts to understand their aspirations, concerns and values.
