HLM Architects are pleased to be able to announce that designs for the new centre at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park have received updated planning approval on the 5th of August 2024 and contractors are currently being asked to express interest to bid for its construction.
HLM Architects Secures Updated Planning Approval for the National Centre for Child Health Technology at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park
Through HLM, working in collaboration with Whittam Cox Architects, Sheffield Children’s Hospital will provide a variety of unique facilities to provide better health and wellbeing for the next generation, ‘helping the 25% of the population who are 100% of our future’.
The updated planning approval marks a significant milestone in the development of this groundbreaking project at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. This state-of-the-art facility will be a world-leading hub for research, innovation, and the development of cutting-edge technologies to tackle the biggest challenges in children’s healthcare.
The NCCHT is an ambitious initiative led by Sheffield Children’s, a visionary project that aims to revolutionize the way we approach healthcare for children and young people. This new facility, the National Centre for Child Health Technology, will not only provide advanced medical care but also serve as a catalyst for fostering a culture of innovation and technological advancement in healthcare, both locally and globally.
