We’re thrilled to share that the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) HQ has been shortlisted for a British Council for Offices award.
The recognition of NMIS in these awards acknowledges the project’s diverse nature and occupiers, as well as the team’s creation of healthy, sustainable working environments.
Shortlisted in the Corporate Workplace category, the awards are assessed on a regional basis before winning entries at this stage compete for the national titles.
Our workplace design responded to the strategic brief for NMIS to be an interactive, flexible, and collaborative workspace to support a highly productive innovation collective. The internal planning therefore emphasises a range of different workspaces to meet varied work styles and activities, empowering staff, students and visitors to choose areas that suit their specific needs – a key requirement noted during the extensive stakeholder engagement process. NMIS has achieved BREEAM Outstanding alongside achieving net zero carbon for operational energy.
