Based in HLM’s London studio, Danai leads the development of the residential offer across the practice. With more than 15 years’ experience, he brings design leadership across large-scale housing, build-to-rent, PBSA, co-living, regeneration and mixed-use development.
His approach combines strong design thinking with planning insight, client engagement and commercial understanding, helping teams unlock complex sites and deliver high-quality homes and places.

Danai is passionate about creating homes and neighbourhoods that bring people together. He believes residential design should be about more than the home itself; it should shape streets, shared spaces and everyday places that help communities form and thrive.
As the way we build homes continues to change, he is interested in how architecture can provide greater variety, density and choice while still creating places with identity, belonging and a strong sense of home.
