David joined HLM in 2025 as studio director of our Belfast office, bringing extensive experience in leading the design and delivery of complex projects across both the public and private sectors. His work spans a broad range of areas, including community, culture, education, residential, transport and workplace projects.
David is passionate about the social value of architecture, championing human-centred design that sensitively responds to climate, context, and culture. Within the Belfast studio, he encourages a culture of creativity and inclusiveness, promoting collaboration and the exchange of new ideas to drive innovation and deliver thoughtful design.
As a certified Passivhaus designer, David is committed to shaping a more sustainable built environment and delivering high-performance buildings that make a positive difference to the people who use them.
