Fani joined HLM in 2025 as senior urban data analyst, bringing extensive experience from interdisciplinary global design and research projects. Based in the London studio and working across the UK and Europe, she leads HLM’s data analytics service, supporting tool development, project delivery, client consultancy, and R&D initiatives. She specialises in geospatial analytics and computational design, with a focus on turning complex data into meaningful actions that empower stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
With over a decade of experience across urban research, design technology, and industry practice, Fani brings a distinctive blend of technical rigour and creative thinking to HLM’s digital and RaD teams.
Beyond her work in practice, Fani is involved in curatorial and editorial works, publishing and exhibiting internationally on social housing, typo-morphology, space syntax, critical spatial theories, urban cultures and public space. Her recent publications explore the use of AI and digital tools for co-creation in early design stages, reflecting her commitment to inclusive, people-centred, technology-driven approaches to urban design. She has taught across institutions in the UK and Europe and since 2020 is associate lecturer on the MA Cities course at UAL Central Saint Martins.
Fani is passionate about the power of data and digital tools to reveal the hidden dynamics of cities and communities. She believes that thoughtful design, supported by advanced analytical methods, can meaningfully improve how people experience and shape the built environment.
