Jill joined HLM in 2016 from an international legal firm, specialising in construction law. Since then, she’s progressed to lead the team and now serves as General Counsel for the Covalent Group, overseeing legal and commercial matters across the UK and international subsidiaries. Jill is also a Director of Covalent.
Throughout her time with HLM and Covalent, Jill has provided strategic legal and commercial advice across a wide range of areas, including national and international project work, real estate management, and support for all head office functions. Based out of the Sheffield studio, Jill works with all sectors and regions within HLM, including providing essential support and guidance to HLM’s international business. Her commercial acumen and dedication have made her a trusted advisor to both employees and the board.
Jill is passionate about empowering others through knowledge and, as a local authority foster carer, is also a keen advocate for HLM’s social value principles. Jill leads HLM’s commercial services and legal team with a strong belief in providing project teams and directors with the tools and understanding they need to navigate legal aspects of the business with confidence.
