Designing a sustainable, family-friendly landscape
Every ground floor home at The Hyde has their own garden area. Our landscape team screened each for privacy with either hedgerow or native buffer planting to enhance the biodiversity of the site.
Our landscape sustainability specialists adopted a multifunctional approach to the landscape scheme. By integrating drainage layers, permeable surfaces, soft landscaping and rain gardens, we developed a scheme that provides attenuation and passive irrigation across its whole podium area. This significantly reduces attenuation and drainage infrastructure requirements, creating a resilient, sustainable community.
Natural play features
Across the Hyde development, family-friendly spaces were a priority
Amenities, including a crèche and outdoor leisure zones, support spontaneous play and social interaction. Our landscape team designed natural play features and low maintenance planting to create a seamless link between these spaces.
Elevated podium gardens offer safe, green, enclosed zones for play. These feature soft surfaces, planting beds, and seating for families.
We designed each home’s landscaped garden to support informal play with natural materials and organic layouts. These areas blend greenery with open spaces – encouraging children to explore and interact with their environment.
