From the earliest stages of development, we consider the broader impact of our landscape designs on climate, wellbeing and biodiversity.
Drawing from our wealth of sustainability expertise, we develop strategies that enhance biodiversity and environmental resilience. Indigenous and adaptable planting plays a central role in creating thriving habitats for wildlife, and connecting landscapes seamlessly with their local context.

To deliver social value and improve health and wellbeing, we incorporate biophilic design strategies to deepen and renew people’s connection to nature.
Biophilic design enhances our physical and mental health while addressing critical environmental challenges, such as mitigating flood risks and reducing the Urban Heat Island effect. By taking this approach we deliver unique and meaningful environments that resonate with their users while actively contributing to a sustainable future.
Our landscape architects take the lead on BNG requirements, and landscape and ecology management plans (LEMP) when required. We fully understand the English and Welsh government regulations, and the biodiversity metrics being adopted in Scotland and Ireland.
We know the strict technical guidance can sometimes feel a little onerous to our clients and project design teams – we’re here to challenge and find a creative pathway to compliance, not just tick the BNG box. When needed, we work with trusted ecologists who complement our planting knowledge, to problem-solve and answer the criteria, without taking the easy option.
We develop comprehensive, nature-based landscape engineering strategies. Through our studios across the UK and Ireland we understand the different regional processes and regulations.
Our water sensitive designs reduce long-term flood risk. We incorporate sustainable drainage systems (or SuDS in urban areas), designing rain gardens, swales to manage water runoff, green and blue roofs, and strategic tree planting.
