A luxury, respectful upgrade of a heritage building
We led architectural coordination and detailed design development for the phased refurbishment of over 130 guestrooms, suites, bathrooms and corridors, commercial offices and hotel restaurant. We worked closely with interior designers, consultants, contractors and local craftspeople to deliver a seamless result, despite the constraints of the heritage building.
It was a pleasure working with the project team and we’re extremely proud to have helped deliver these luxury spaces within a heritage building.
The client’s vision for excellence aligned with our commitment to quality and care, creating spaces that elevate hospitality standards while reducing future disruption. Together, we delivered a solution that benefits guests, staff and the hotel’s legacy for years to come.

Commercial offices refurbishment
The commercial offices were relocated to the basement, unlocking space for additional guestrooms elsewhere in the hotel.
Our challenge was to create an uplifting, dynamic workplace in a space with no natural daylight. Guided by a biophilic design approach, we introduced natural materials, timber finishes and large-scale wall graphics inspired by nature. The breakout area features organic forms and offers a flexible setting for staff and visitors. A carefully considered lighting scheme mimics natural light, supporting staff wellbeing.
The result is a vibrant, people-focused workspace that enhances day-to-day experience and reflects the hotel’s commitment to its team.
