A landscape-led masterplan
This project is about legacy and the landscape. By transforming a decommissioned military site into a place people can live, work and thrive, we’ve created long-term social impact. Our design includes accessible green spaces, community hubs and active travel routes – supporting wellbeing and connection across generations.
We began with the land, designing around existing topography, views and habitats. This approach shaped everything from street layouts to community spaces, ensuring the development feels rooted and respectful.
Our masterplan for St George’s Barracks encompasses 3,000 new homes, accessible green spaces, new health and wellbeing centre, primary school, leisure centre, sports pitch, and business & development hub.
Sustainability
Sustainability was embedded into our masterplan from day one. We developed a site-wide sustainable urban drainage strategy, preserved key habitats, and created a landscape-led framework that supports biodiversity and climate resilience.
Our landscape strategy creates an attractive and healthy environment. A layered green infrastructure network supports wildlife, encourages active lifestyles and strengthens local identity.
Our design guide sets the tone for every future development, ensuring future phases uphold these principles and maintain consistency in character, sustainability and community focus.
