Our Scottish studio is right in the centre of this buzzing city. The dynamic open-plan space sits within a listed 19th century sandstone building; architecture that Glasgow is well-known for.
Home to seasoned professionals and recent graduates, we’re really proud of our strong team spirit and collaborative culture – everyone is encouraged to contribute creatively, and deepen the ties we have with our local communities.
We love Glasgow’s energy, creativity, and rich architectural heritage. Our studio is surrounded by inspiring landmarks and award-winning HLM projects – the transformative National Manufacturing Institute Scotland, our student-led design for James McCune Smith Learning Hub, and our stunning refurbishment of the A-listed voco Grand Central hotel.

Delivering positive social impact is in HLM’s DNA. In our Glasgow studio, we actively engage with local education initiatives and mentoring programmes. We’ve recently partnered with the City of Glasgow College to provide mentorship to interior design students, and we also collaborated with Renfrew High School and Morrison Construction to deliver a student-led design competition.
Our team is proud to support national and local charities through regular fundraising and community initiatives. Highlights include the annual Wear It Pink campaign for Breast Cancer Now, coffee mornings in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, and the Games for Weans event for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. We’ve also supported Alzheimer Scotland, Save the Children, and we organise annual toy collections with Redpath to support local children at Christmas.
We frequently donate IT equipment to the North West Glasgow Voluntary Sector, and actively support Spifox and Spifox 2 events in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
